The evening will begin with a talk about photographic education and what it can deliver. This will be followed by a discussion on Photography’s role within the history of the East End with reference to photography as language and how it can be used to speak about place. There will also be a screening of Idea Store Learning students work. Admission Free.

True Defiance: What next for Tunisia’s Jasmine Revolution?
In mid January, Tunisia’s protestors forced the country’s longtime dictator Ben Ali into exile.
Photographers, film makers and citizen journalists played a key role in the revolution, using social media to communicate with each other and with the wider world. Dr Lotfi Kaabi will join photographer Ons Abid, film maker Yossera Bonchtia and other prominent figures to discuss Tunisia’s right of passage to democracy and ask whether elections in Tunisia have delivered what the revolution demanded.
